Product Portfolio

From Agricultural Waste to Functional Chemicals

CMT has developed and produced five core products from tamarind kernel waste and related agricultural residues, serving the printing, dyeing, detergent, food and pharmaceutical industries.

Flagship Product

Carboxymethyl Tamarind (CMT)

CMT’s core innovation: a functional material derived from tamarind kernel powder through chemical modification, used as an industrial thickener across printing, dyeing, detergent, food and pharmaceutical applications.

Cellulose Derivative

Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)

A cellulose-derived thickening agent produced by CMT for the same range of industrial applications as CMT — printing, dyeing, detergents, food and pharmaceuticals.

Cellulose Derivative

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC)

A further cellulose derivative in CMT’s portfolio, developed and produced in-house as an industrial thickener for the same target industries.

Raw Material / Intermediate

Tamarind Kernel Powder (TKP)

The processed tamarind kernel powder that forms the raw material base for CMT’s carboxymethylation process — also supplied as a standalone product.

Raw Material

Tamarind Seeds (TS)

The agricultural waste input at the start of CMT’s value chain — tamarind seeds sourced and processed before conversion into functional thickeners.

Industries We Serve

These products have proven effective in printing, dyeing, detergents, and the food and pharmaceutical industries.
